ABOUT STOP SARCOMA AND LAURA HINDS

This website is dedicated to Laura Hinds, who started Stop Sarcoma in 2015 in an effort to increase awareness around sarcoma and fundraise for the Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association (ANZSA).
Laura was diagnosed with sarcoma when she was 22 years old. As a result, she had to undergo surgery, radiation and chemotherapy treatments over a period of 3 1/2 years.
Laura passed away on 26 September 2016 when she was just 25.
Despite her illness and gruelling treatment, Laura always had a beaming smile and left an immediate impression on everyone she met with her quick wit, intelligence and compassion.
At the time of her diagnosis, Laura was in her final year of her Masters of Architecture, a degree that she completed with distinction during her treatment. Laura subsequently worked as an Architect, working on several large commercial projects.
Laura had an immense love for dancing, performing, friendship, family and her dog, Jemma.
